I feel blessed to have grown up in a loving home, so it was incredibly fulfilling when I helped build a home for a family in need with Habitat for Humanity. I learned a lot as a Core Team Member for a Homeless Outreach Organization during it’s first two years of development. I was so intent on changing the world and I found out that a simple smile, a warm place to sit, and a good meal goes a long way. Based upon my own personal experience, I’m also an advocate to end bullying for youth, so I support the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness and had a great experience working with ICAP, the International Committee of Artists for Peace, as a performer on a transformative anti-bullying initiative called iChoose.
I participate in raising money for organizations that are close to my heart such as the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Breast Cancer Awareness, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and The Heroes Project, which supports climbing programs for wounded marines, soldiers and veterans.
Last but not least, I grew up with animals and have two doggie-daughters that were both rescues. It means a lot to me to donate to Wags and Walks, a 501c3 rescue group dedicated to reducing the number of dogs in Los Angeles shelters by finding them loving, foster and forever homes.
